LGE is sponsoring a college scholarship program and will be awarding Five (5) $3,000 scholarships to high school seniors AND current undergrad students who will be attending college this fall. To enter, applicants must submit an application along with a short video (60 seconds or less) answering the question “How are credit unions (like LGE) different from big banks?” Students that are interested in applying for one of these scholarships, please download the application and official rules from the LGE website. All entries must be received from individual student to LGE by 5:00PM ET on March 30, 2018. LGE flyer descriptions for these scholarship opportunities are attached.
Krimson Community Foundation, Inc. will present scholarship awards of up to $4,000 to deserving African-American male graduating seniors to assist in covering a portion of their college expenses. African-American males in North Fulton, Cobb, and Cherokee counties are eligible to apply. To be eligible, an applicant must be a male African-American United States citizen, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better (based on a 4.0 grade scale), and a minimum SAT score of 1100 or an ACT score of 20.

To be eligible for WellStar Cobb Hospital 2018 Auxiliary Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicant must be pursuing a degree or certificate in the healthcare profession.
2. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
3. Applicant must submit an OFFICIAL high school and/or college transcript and available aptitude and achievement tests.
4. Applicant must be enrolled or submit OFFICIAL proof of acceptance (if not currently enrolled) from the educational institution you will be attending in the State of Georgia.
5. Applicant must be a resident of Cobb County, Georgia or volunteer/be employed at WellStar Cobb Hospital.
6. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident of the U.S. (proof of a permanent visa will be required at the time of the interview).
7. Scholarship awards will be based on the applicant’s:
• Scholastic Records
• Qualities of Leadership
• Participation in Student and Community Activities

Attention Former McClure Middle School Students
We are excited to announce that the McClure Middle School PTSA will award the Susan Wing Scholarship to a deserving senior who attended McClure Middle School for at least one year. This is a one-time, non-renewable $1,000.00 scholarship. To be eligible to receive this scholarship, the student must attend an accredited college, university, or trade school this fall.
The Susan Wing Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has exemplified and continues to build on the four words that served as the foundation for McClure Middle School during Mrs. Wing’s tenure – Encouraging, Enthusiasm, Excellence, and Ingenuity.

Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation. This year, BAM will award three US$5,000 scholarships to outstanding high-school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology. The scholarships are renewable, so winners who continue to meet the criteria can receive an annual $5,000 award for up to four years.
