The Lindley 6th Grade Academy is seeking high school seniors that will serve as math tutors. The 7-week paid position will run from February 24, 2014-April 18, 2014. Once tutors complete a week-long training they are expected to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30am-8:45am. A high school transcript must be submitted with the application. Pebblebrook High School will hold its College Financial Aid Night for students and families on Thursday, February 6th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Reese Theater. This will be a unique opportunity for PHS families to get information on paying for college, scholarships, HOPE, FAFSA, loans, and other financial aid topics. The event is targeted to 12th graders, but all grade levels are welcome to attend and get a head start on the financial aid process. The next SAT and ACT deadlines for the spring semester are coming up fast! The deadline to register for the March SAT is February 7th and the deadline for the May SAT is April 4th. The deadline to register for the April ACT is March 7th and the deadline for the June ACT is May 9th. Juniors and Seniors should register as soon as possible. If you get free or reduced lunch, you can take the SAT and ACT for free. Pick up a fee waiver form in the counseling office, and then turn it in to the cafeteria. Come to the Career Center 24 hours late to receive your free code.
